#351 – Lifting Spirits
From Writhe’s journal:
I waited for those people to come back at 8:00 so that we could all go out to eat, but they never showed up. I got caught up playing backgammon and cards with different people and then I left the hostel late to people some people from Belgium at Kato. I could have been there on time, but I had to wait 20 minutes in one station for the Underground train as they were doing some sort of construction shit. I was going to go all the way to the club and leave a note or something, but the train stopped two stations before mine and then headed back the opposite direction. I said ‘fuck it’ and went back to the hostel, dropped off my shit, kind of ignored the girls that were hanging around (I felt weird around them). Instead, I talked to this one girl I met on Monday until 12:45am and then I went to bed. I ate a bowl or two of cereal because I was kinda hungry.
I wanted to get up rather early this morning, but I rolled out of bed around 10 and went to the post office again and mailed out most of the pieces I took off of The Wall. It’s kinda cold out here at the Europa Center. I was told there were some good stores here. I didn’t see any. Must have been some bad information or I’m just not seeing the right things. It’s a big mall in western Berlin. Hardly any construction. Lots of older women with dyed hair. Ah, I want to go somewhere else.
